The food was just ok for me. It took a little longer than I would have liked for us to be seated, order our food, and for our food to come out. I got a group of my friends together to go there for my birthday so I felt bad about the unnecessarily long wait time when they weren't even crowd. It was kinda hard to find as well. I probably will not drive that far to give them a second chance.

Authentic Mexican fare. The food was fresh and flavorful. The seasoning a bit more subtle than a traditional Tex-Mex place. I will be going back as I truly enjoyed the food. The service was also very efficient. Check it out.

Glad my favorite restaurant is open for dine in again. Margaritas always perfect, fajitas always burnt like I like it. Staff is always friendly.

Great food inviting plating. Excellent service before water glass empty waitstaff was on it. Small but great atmosphere. Patrons friendly. Salsa delicious thick and chunky not watered down. The mixed drinks delicious we had a long island ice tea and margaritas One was all needed did not slight you on the alcohol.

We dined at the Cedar Hill location on a Friday at 6:40 with a '35 minute allowance' before our intended event. The lot was fairly packed; thought 'no way'. Gave it a try anyway, glad we did!! We were seated after walking in! We got chips & salsa (yummy) and drinks; the Top Shelf Meltdown was flavorful and potent! I had the ENCHILADAS DE VILLA RICA; 3 blue corn chicken enchiladas with mole, salsa verde and pipian sauces. Each was awesome. Mole was rich and heavy, verde was spot on with a bit of tangyness. This was first time to have the pipian; it was an awesome kind of nutty flavor. Will get that one again!Our waitress was very attentive. Got our order quickly, checked us several times during meal, refilling drinks.... Very nice. And best part is we were done on time without even having to inform her that we 'were in a hurry'.

Sour cream chicken enchiladas were very good, service outstanding.

Excellent food. I am from Veracruz and the taste is so identical. Good service. Highly recommended. I wish that they would close late.

Soups are definitely made fresh and delicious on a cold evening. Had enough to bring home and the leftovers were even better the next day. Their mole is tasty, margaritas very good, service pretty good. They have been around for awhile and stay consisent.

The staff is friendly. The ambience is great. The prices were awesome, but the flavor of the food left a lot to be desired. Maybe I'll get better luck on my next visit. I look forward to updating this post.

The atmosphere and architecture are great with this place. You walk in and it's a big nice building with a lot of custom designs. The food was pretty good. They use authentic blue corn tortillas for some of the recipes. The food was pretty good but the prices were kind of high compared to similar places. It was pretty good overall

Phenomenal service, waitstaff was professional, polite, and quick. Water always full and food did not take long to come out. Very large portions, and reasonable prices considering the quantity.

Awesome Tex-Mex food! Reasonably priced with a solid selection. Interesting interior that obviously used to be a steakhouse, only complaint would be how tightly packed the tables are! It's like they lost a bet about how many tables they can cram in there... In any case, be prepared for some of the best Tex-Mex in DFW.

Authentic Mexican food...and plenty of it. We had a large group, but the service was very good and the staff very friendly. The only thing I didn't care for was the coconut coffee, but that is just personal preference.

What a pleasant surprise! I just happened to be driving by & found this gem. It's rare to find a place that does Mole right, well this one does. I also enjoyed the atmosphere, as well as the friendly service. Hope to come back soon!

I have passed by this place many times. But today I stopped in. This place is beau-ti-ful. The walls have beautiful deep wood carvings. The staff members were very attentive. I reviewed the menu and saw some very good choices and prices. However, when I turned the menu over, what do you think I saw? The lunch menu! The prices were so good. I had the beef tacos in a blue corn shell. Refried black beans and rice. The beef filled the shell perfectly. Fresh lettuce and tomato over flowed. I plan on going back. Lunch or dinner. It doesn't matter. It was good.

Great fish tacos and fish soup. Marg's are good also. Service was very uneven on our last visit, our waiter abandoned us after delivering our meal, however, our bus boy tried to help us out and much as he could.
